Zimbabwe's veteran wicketkeeper-batter, Brendan Taylor, has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to a hamstring injury, leaving the team in a tricky situation. Taylor, 40, picked up the injury in Zimbabwe's first match, a win against Oman. With at least two more games to go, the team management has brought in Ben Curran as his replacement. Curran, a top-order batter with centuries in Tests and ODIs, is new to T20I cricket. He has 872 runs in 40 T20 innings at a strike rate of 126.01. For the Australia game, Tadiwanashe Marumani will keep wicket, and Tony Munyonga joins the XI in Taylor's place. Taylor's absence was a concern, but the team hoped he'd recover in time for the remaining fixtures.
