Despite the high risks, Boyd was prepared for the worst and underwent the transplant in July 2025. The operation was a success, and Boyd's recovery was complication-free. She returned home in time for the holidays, rejoicing in the simple pleasures of family traditions. Today, she continues to take anti-rejection medications and receives follow-up care, embracing a new normal and a sense of peace after her life-changing transplant.
