SNL's Hilarious Take on Pentagon Pete's Workout Fiasco
In a recent Saturday Night Live episode, Colin Jost brought his comedic genius to life once again, stepping into the shoes of Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. Jost's portrayal was a hilarious take on Hegseth's bold statements about the Trump administration's Venezuela invasion and, surprisingly, his workout videos.
But here's where it gets controversial... Jost's Hegseth, in a mock-threatening tone, said, "Just like I'm F-ing this kettlebell," referencing a viral video of the real Hegseth's workout routine. Jost's imitation, complete with hip thrusts, left little to the imagination.
"You might have seen it online, and it went viral for all the right reasons," Jost's Hegseth added, seemingly unaware of the mockery.
And this is the part most people miss... SNL's Trump, played by James Austin Johnson, had a field day with Hegseth's workout routine, quipping, "Even I know you're doing that wrong."
The cold open also introduced a new cast member, Jeremy Culhane, who took on the role of Vice President JD Vance. Culhane's Vance had a unique way of introducing himself: "I'm here to kick bubblegum and chew a--, and I'm all out of bubblegum."
But the real question is, what do you think? Is SNL's take on these political figures fair, or does it cross a line? Let us know in the comments! We'd love to hear your thoughts on this controversial sketch.
