SADC nations unveil a groundbreaking 2025-2030 Communication, Advocacy Strategy - a transformative roadmap for regional development. The strategy, launched in Gaborone, Botswana, aims to revolutionize communication and collaboration among SADC member states. SADC's Deputy Executive Secretary, Angele Makombo Ntumba, emphasizes its potential to enhance infrastructure, boost the economy, and foster trade and community development. This comprehensive plan, available in English, French, and Portuguese, will be executed through a network of SADC National Coordinators and National Information and Communication Coordinators across 16 member countries. Ntumba urges these coordinators to collaborate closely with SADC and stakeholders, including media outlets and ICT institutions, to ensure the strategy's success. The German Government, through GIZ, has generously funded the strategy's development, enabling SADC to expand its impact. GIZ's Head of Economic Cooperation and Development, Simone Goertz, pledges to strengthen cooperation, aligning with the global challenges of globalization and fostering sustainable development for all member states.
