Despite selling its Czech arm, Jestico + Whiles' turnover skyrockets, reaching £8.8 million in 2025, a 23.5% increase from the previous year. This surge in revenue comes despite a decline in fees from international projects, which now account for only 9.6% of overall turnover. The firm attributes this shift to the sale of its Prague-based trading arm, but remains optimistic about diversifying income from overseas ventures. The company's financial turnaround is remarkable, transforming a £742,000 loss in 2024 into a £189,000 profit, despite a slight reduction in the average number of employees. Jestico + Whiles' Centre for Design and Innovation at St Paul's Girls' School was recently shortlisted for the 2025 AJ Architecture Awards. Looking ahead, the firm acknowledges the unpredictable nature of the UK construction market, marked by client uncertainty and limited project appointments. Meanwhile, fellow AJ100 practice EPR also reported strong growth, with a 6.5% increase in turnover to £22.2 million and a 140% profit jump to £1.4 million, despite a slight reduction in staff numbers. EPR's success is attributed to early carbon reduction, diverse sector expertise, and expansion in Manchester, Poland, and their interior design team.
