Get ready, racing fans! Cadillac is about to make a massive statement, and it's happening on one of the biggest stages imaginable: the Super Bowl! The iconic American brand is set to unveil the livery for its debut Formula 1 car, marking a pivotal moment in their motorsport journey.
Cadillac, backed by the powerhouse General Motors and spearheaded by former Marussia Sporting Director Graeme Lowdon, is gearing up to become the 11th team on the Formula 1 grid next season. This is a bold move, and the anticipation is building! But that's not all; they've already secured some serious talent.
Multiple Grand Prix winners, Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez, have been confirmed as the drivers, bringing a wealth of experience to the team. Adding to the excitement, IndyCar star Colton Herta will be taking on a testing role, providing valuable insights and expertise.
On Wednesday, just before the 2025 finale in Abu Dhabi, Cadillac shared a thrilling update on social media. They announced that the world will get its first glimpse of their 2026 colors on February 8 during the Super Bowl broadcast. The Super Bowl, the annual championship game of the National Football League (NFL), is a global event, ensuring maximum exposure for Cadillac's F1 entry.
But here's where the timeline gets even more interesting. The livery reveal will follow a crucial private test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya from January 26-30. During this test, teams will be running their 2026 challengers for the first time, built to all-new regulations.
Following the Barcelona test, there will be two more tests at the Bahrain International Circuit, from February 11-13 and February 18-20. Cadillac will then head to Australia for their debut F1 weekend from March 6-8.
